For the past four years the Salmon Arm KOA has achieved the highest inspection rating available under KOA's annual inspection system for quality, safety and service. The average temperature in the summer months is 28 degrees celcius -- that's approximately 80 degrees for our American visitors. Whether you are travelling to the Calgary Stampede, Banff and Jasper National Parks or just looking for lush scenery, warm lakes and majestic mountains, Salmon Arm is the spot for you. The town takes pride in the Salmon Arm Bay Nature Enhancement area which provides a wonderful ecological opportunity for wildlife viewing. The 1000km of shoreline contains 22 parks offering uncrowded boating, fishing and swimming. Abundant hiking and biking trails of varying distances and degrees provide unforgettable mountian scenery. A shore drive to the O'Keefe Historic Ranch will entertain you and your family for hours. Come in June and July to pick cherries or strawberries, the end of August provides delicious corn, and in the fall we are proud of our apple crops. Of course, in October the world famous Adams River is home to millions of salmon spawning, and is one of the largest spawning grounds in British Columbia. If golf is your game, a CPGA 18-hole championship course is located 2.5 miles from the KOA, as well as many other challenging courses in the area. Copyright © 2002 Salmon Arm KOA.
